PUC Prep is honestly such a great school. Although it is extremely small, its size can be seen as an advantage. I've had opportunities to do things I would have never done if I hadn't gone here: musicals, sports, choir, band, leadership, etc. The main thing about this school is that your experience is what you make of it. You can choose to be proactive and take college classes, get involved in leadership, do music, and do sports, or you could do the absolute minimum and take a total of 3 classes your senior year. Because of its size, the teachers are very readily available. I've had a great variety of conversations with them, ranging from topics like schoolwork, the best places to eat, plans for college, and just... life. You just have to make sure to create every advantage for yourself.

I received a wholesome education from PUC Preparatory School which included spiritual, academic and critical thinking skills that I carry with me into college. I was able to participate in a wide variety of extra curriculars including varsity sports, college early programs, theatrical experiences, community service and a wide variety of leaderships opportunities. Although I didn't always recognize it at the time, my writing, thoughtful inquiry, spirituality, and value of experiences dramatically improved.
Located on the campus of Pacific Union College, PUC Preparatory school is a great place to go to high school while on a college campus. A major plus, is that the school allows high school students to take one free college class every quarter, this along with other resources are great for the school. The school could have a stronger culture and a better sports program but overall is good.
