Pace Early College High School is a very welcoming education institution that aims to provide the best quality undergraduate education instruction to high school students. This school prepared young adults for college and works with Texas Southmost College to help students who are willing to go the extra mile to graduate with their associates degree in any career of choice. Overall, this campus is absolutely amazing!
The school truly does bleed green! When the students heard that there may be a name change, there was a massive outcry in response to the new name. Even with the leave of the Principle, Ms. Longoria, the love is still strong for the school. The teachers try their absolute best and do everything in their power to see their kids succeed. Providing their own resources, staying late, giving additional help, the students come first at Pace. Of course being deep in the Rio Grande Valley, on the border by the sea, the school rarely sees other ethnicities or races, but they are constantly expanding their foreign exchange section. There are so many clubs that encompass any interest or hobby, you would be hard for you to not find a club you could join. Every sport is extremely competitive year in and year out, especially in the packed 5a division.
My experience at Pace has been one long ride, yet I've only started. Pace is a great school that allows students with different career goals in mind to share academics to create this wonderful cohesive environment. Pace is not only a place to receive certifications, but it is also a place to expand a person's knowledge to the fullest. Throughout the years pace has offered many programs and extracurriculars that can deepen interest in a student's particular field. If they want to further expand their thinking when it comes to engineering, there are pathway courses as well as extracurriculars for that; additionally, there are courses set for education pathways, biomedical, health science, ROTC, theater, and many more pathways to match each students' interest. Pace has a lively student body that encompasses a splendid connection between each other no matter the differences those students may have. Pace is a great place to reach out within yourself and find what you want to do.
