I have gone to ozaukee since I started school. My mother works as a kindergarten teacher there so I just started going. Getting into high school, it is nice to have a small school with only around 60-70 students in a grade so you can get to know everyone. With this small school you are for sure able to play as many sports as you want. Our school may not have every sport but we have the basics. Although sports is a big deal with our school we tend to focus on football and basketball more than the other sports such as track and cross country, which are our best preforming sports in the past 4-5 years.

We are getting a new referendum done in the next few years to improve and expand our schools theatre program and classrooms, as well as a rubber track and an extension of the building to have a separate lunch cafeteria. With these new improvements I feel as though the school will be more open to have a better sport and theatre program.

The teachers and staff truly want what is best for their students and it's very easy to get involved. The students tend to be judgmental (like all high schools) and while Ozaukee prepares its students to go to college, the curriculum makes it very difficult to attend a higher level institution. My students end up going to a University of Wisconsin school.
I like Ozaukee high school because it's like a family. It's a small school where you know just about everyone as you walk through the hallways to your classes. Everyone is polite and it's easy to start a conversation with anyone there. The one thing I would change is how early the lunches are. I've never had a problem with anything or anyone besides lunch. It starts at ten- thirty and most of the time my peers and I aren't hunger when it's time for lunch.
