I loved it! I am graduating in May of 2020 and these last few years have been wonderful. I came in during the middle of junior year, so the transition (I thought) was going to be tough. I was wrong! They made everything so much easier for me and helped me through everything! I had all the teachers helping me! Even teachers I didn't know would point me in the right direction! They were always so inclusive and I had support everywhere around me!

My Name is Natasha Valerie, and I was born in Indonesia, about two in a half years ago, I moved to America. Overland High school was the first and only high school that I attended in America. I learn everything from there, the people, personalities, cultures, and the education system. The diversities in Overland are very astonishing, as a foreigner, seeing a variety type of people and culture in the same building as me, makes me feel less desolate. I also met a couple of Indonesians there, overland has helped me made numerous lifelong friendships. Not only that, but the teachers and securities are also very kind and understanding, I made friends with almost all of the members in the building. Overland always prioritizes their cultural differences, they often arrange different types of events to allow the students to be proud of where they originated. and I think that's what makes Overland very unique and extraordinary.
Overland has an extremely diverse community that is supportive of each other. Our teachers are quite amazing themselves, as I've seen many who have bent their backs to provide help to students. If you work hard and are respectful, you are rewarded. There are a lot of clubs, ranging from multiple topics. For example, we have anime club, but we also have speech and debate. Overland provides a fair range of sports as well. Not to mention, the school is an AP school with a variety of classes. Overland also provide dual (concurrent enrollment) classes. The school spirit, however, is lacking. Not many students participate in spirit weeks or activities. It is a little disheartening. Overland is a good school.
