Our Lady of Victory (OLV) is a dynamic and diverse Catholic school located in the Palisades neighborhood of Northwest Washington, DC, with 225 students in PK3 through 8th grade.

Twice recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Education (2007 & 2016), OLV is well known for its academic excellence, superior staff, and small student/teacher ratio. Our kids have greatly benefitted from their OLV education. The school spotted some difficulties one of our children was having with reading that had been dismissed in public school. We are happy that someone noticed it early, and we could get him the help he needed. We have been happy with the communication with his teachers on his progress and know he won't slip through the cracks in such a small class. Our other child would probably perform well academically anywhere, but she has really thrived at OLV. A small school and class size has encouraged her to break out of her shell. We also were pleased to find a real community at the school and have gotten to know our kids' classmates, their parents and the teachers and staff. The Catholic teachings focus on God loving you and you loving your neighbor, and we like the foundation it provides for going out into the world. It is a welcoming, liberal Catholic community.

Review Our Lady of Victory School

Our family had two children go through OLV; both of them left with high marks and were well prepared for high school. OLV students are taught to be curious, thoughtful, courteous and academically driven. It’s a small school (which slightly affects their resources) but it positively impacts the attention and care that each student receives. As a non-Catholic family, we were always impressed with how inclusive and supportive the community was. Would definitely recommend!

While the resources and facilities where not the best it is a great and inclusive environment that prepared me well for high school. The academics are very good and the school is a warm community where everyone knows each other. Overall I would recommend.
