Our Lady of Victory Elementary School Reviews

My children have attended OLV since preschool and I can't say enough about their experience here. To say that we were embraced is an understatement! The teachers are very involved and although it's a good sized school, each of my children continue to benefit from a caring staff who have supported and guided our kids through each grade level. Administration and staff are not only dedicated to their mission, but truly care about each child.
OLV has a wonderfully, close knit school community. The academics are rigorous, the extra curricular activities are well-run and the teachers are amazing!
Even if you're looking for a nice Christan education about 57.6% of my former classmates have told me they aren't Catholic anymore. The teachers are complete bullies if they don't like you are decide if you family isn't worth they're time. One kid was bullied by the administration for a learn disablity until they left the school. Even if you kid is a Chirstan they will push conversion on them. The theological class is the absolute worst. If you would like to control what your child learn then go ahead as the year before us a girl's parents asked the school to teach her that the dinosaurs never existed and everything in the Bible was literal. I'm not even going to talk about the time a teacher threw a stappler at someone, or when a fellow classmate broke her finger they refused to let her go to the nurse (her finger was turning blue and bent ad event today it is still a little bent in the middle). Do't send your child to here
Poor leadership and inability to handle students issues, i.e. academic, bullying, etc. prevented my child from having a good experience at this school. They push things under the rug and only one teacher stepped forward to help out when my child was struggling. A Christian environment is not well kept as out of control behavior from students was never addressed or punished. If you are sending your child to school in the SCASD, choose one of their schools as they are to rated in PA. Hope this helps in your decision
They have a couple of great teachers and several very poor. My son had an amazing Science teacher his first year and then one of the worst for 7 & 8th grade. They missed large areas of studies that should have been considered basics. Also, this is a Catholic school - we were given several assurances that this would be easily accepted and that the religion class was more theological - WRONG. This school turned my children against religion rather than accepting.
My kids came from a private school and needed the smaller environment. They made some life long friends and that would be the main reason I would do it again. However, I know that they were not challenged and the expectations were too low. The STEM classes were almost non existent.
