Academically, it prepared me well for my college classes. The Elms embraces boldness and empowerment, which is distinguishable amongst local high schools. Elms girls exude class, respect, and intelligence. I wish that the music department was better supported. As someone currently pursuing a music performance degree, I think that the Elms could do more, as it does with sports and clubs. The Elms is notable for its traditions as well! Welcome Week bonds the freshmen with their senior big sisses through song and costumes. It is a highlight for many Elms girls. Elms Olympics, Deck the Halls, Junior Ring, Soup Day, Senior Farewell, amongst others make the Elms unique. Although academically driven, OLE is a community that supports everyone. Teachers are always willing to work with students and understand disabilities & other factors that affect academics. OLE inspires young women to pursue their highest dreams and prepares them for life.

As parents we made the decision to send our daughter to an all girls high school and preferred to ensure Christianity was a taught doctrine to build upon our familial foundation. Our daughter has been given a wonderful opportunity to evolve into becoming her very best by bringing to fruition her greatest potential in an environment that teaches girls to lead, to embrace others accomplishments and to learn from each other while doing so. There are no distractions in the classroom. Our Lady of the Elms will make certain that your daughter will graduate with the confidence to continue her education post high school with the ability to create, analyze, evaluate, listen, problem solve, and apply critical thinking where needed. An Elms girl is passionate about advancing and her environment is one that provides the very best administrators, teachers and most importantly all are led by the Dominican Sisters who believe in pray, study, community and ministry. Always an Elms girl!
My daughter is thriving and loves the Elms so much so happy that we transferred here. Her dad had the typical dad fear of an all girls school, but she loves it and does not want boys around during her schooling. She feels open to answer questions without the fear of being made fun of. The small class size allows personal DAILY interaction and literally “on her level” teaching, while still leading the class. My daughter feels like she can ask a question and get an in depth answer, pretty much every time. I wish there were more teachers like there are at the ELMs and that every child could have these amazing advantages that the Elms girls do. The education, athletics, extra curriculars and social skills gained are worth far more than the current cost of tuition!!! At the Elms, you truly get what you pay for.
