I liked the teachers there more than anything! They helped me a lot when I didn't understand things and guided me through difficult subjects. The facility could use some improvement.
It is a good school with good people in it. It is very diverse and offers the chance for everybody to do pretty much anything.
OLM has prepared me very well for college. There are some aspects I would change, but overall it is a well-rounded school.
When I first joined the school community I felt very welcomed and I enjoy the fact that the school community is like a family. Everyone knows each other and they are always open to helping others.
Long story short, this school is not worth the money. Many teachers and faculty members have favorites within this small community and it shows. This school does not, in any way, encourage its students to be free thinkers but rather to simply adhere to what is being taught. including certain rules that, in my opinion, are unnecessary for high school students to follow. The sports and clubs are a joke. Students are kicked out at the end of the school day and are left to just sit in the parking lot. I feel that there should be more after school study areas or...something. In my experience, many of the teachers were just straight up rude to students for no reason. During my senior year, I was chased down every day and yelled at over my skirt being an inch or so too short after repeatedly telling this staff member that I could not afford a new skirt especially considering I’d be graduating in a few weeks. My life and mental health has significantly improved after graduating.
We liked the spiritual based curriculum as well as Rigor and college preparedness. The sports programs were well supported by parents.
Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School is one of the greatest high school choices in the Fayetteville area of Georgia. Our school is not too large nor is it too small. We have a very caring faculty who are not only interested in how well our experience is at the school, but also to make sure we are ready for college. I've played basketball for a well-known group of coaches, one of them being Charlie Criss, a former Atlanta Hawks player. We also high activity music and theater programs who try to incorporate any and all students. At Mercy, every student does something whether it be debate or football, there's something for everyone.
Our lady of mercy has many flaws, one being they are very selective & have favorites & it shows.. Mercy messes up your GPA & honestly drains you physically and emotionally.
One of the many things that I liked most about Mercy is the connections I made with friends. Even though the odds of keeping in touch with those friends are rare, the memories we made will never be forgotten. Whether those memories be simply laughing during lunch, hanging out on the weekends, or even stressing over a test we had the very next day, those bonds will forever remain in my heart. Furthermore, OLM does a great job as a preparatory school. As a student, having numerous tests and quizzes a week can give a feeling of anxiety. However, that is the reality of college. While other students may be struggling to keep up with the academic command of college, I will be calm and collected.
It was definitely a different experience and it prepared me well for college and I would like to see it a bit more lenient toward students.
I like the school's environment where people are very friendly because of the diversity among students and faculties, which allows me to experience and learn different cultures and countries' aspects. Teachers at Our Lady of Mercy are very intelligent, patient, and passionate with their jobs. The school always supports both students and parents to the best of its ability. It also has high security and safety.
Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School is a rigorous private school in Fayetteville, Ga. The school is literally right in front of artist Rick Ross's multi million dollar mansion. School is good for getting you ready to and putting you in to college. Very Strict but super close knit within the student body.
You have to be prepared to do a lot on your own. You also shouldn't get too attached to teachers considering most are in a ACE program meaning they leave every 2 years.
Our Lady of Mercy High School is a great college preparatory school. They take education very seriously and its a wonderful environment. Although there is a small student body, there is ample amount of help and attention given by the staff and teachers to cater to the students when needed.
When I went to Our Lady of Mercy the majority of the school administration treated the students like they were their own children, using love and correct guidance. Sports, spiritual gains, and friends were my favorite parts!
I like my teachers and their attitudes toward teaching and the small environment. It gives me a lot of one-on-one time with teachers. My school is also really proactive, especially with service opportunities. However, I would like it if there was dual-enrollment and other opportunities like HOSA.
I like that the teachers generally know what they’re doing, and they are always willing to help. Some of the school’s rules are very strict and are not always beneficial to the entire population.
