DO NOT GO TO MERCY! When I began Mercy freshman year, I knew it wasn't the place I was supposed to be. They advertise as though they have rigorous courses, great teachers, well-rounded students, and good administration. I can confirm none of these are true. I went to Mercy looking for difficult classes, not difficult teachers. Out of the ten teachers I had throughout the year, I can only say two cared about my well-being. The administration is extremely condescending. The "empowerment" they ensure your daughter will leave the school with is a lie. Very few girls feel confident in themselves at the school, especially after being talked to like they are in kindergarten. The once difficult classes have become a breeze, even with the lack of teacher help and effort. The girls are not supportive of one another in the slightest. I was not welcomed at all. It is a competition with everything. If you think you are good at something, the girls cannot wait to say they are better. BAD SCHOOL
As a current senior at this school, I can honestly say that although the workload is difficult, in the end it's worth it.
I feel prepared to go into college, I feel very secure in my decision in regards to my major as well because OLMA gave me the opportunity to enhance my mindset in many different fields by exploring many possible careers. Especially with the new wellness program, OLMA is definitely a great school to be a part of, it's become a second home to me. Go Lady Mustangs!

Having just graduated from OLMA, I can say with certainty that the school academically prepared me for college. However, there's definitely an issue at OLMA with cliques. There are divisions between different groups; girls are blatantly rude to one another and most teachers turn a blind eye. Teachers have spoken about other students to students in their classes as well. Also, the administration is a complete and utter mess. The only time I think they've ever had it together was when Covid-19 broke out. Communication was always an issue, teachers were wildly unprofessional, and every year more teachers leave. The replacements lack background checks, as I experienced last year with a computer science teacher, and are typically inexperienced, unless they have been teaching at the school for years. Mercy has the potential to be a wonderful community and school, yet the only focus of administration is to get more students, not to fix the issues right in front of them. I wish olma the best.
