I attend Ouachita Christian School. It is a private school in Monroe, Louisiana. The first thing that I love about my school is the Christian experience. We keep God and faith in our everyday activities. Bible is a required class and we have chapel on Wednesday. If someone is sick we put them on our prayer list. Not many people can say if I’m sick my teachers and peers will pray for me, but I can. My school makes sure that we know how fortunate we are by doing community services. We shop for the CASA program every year at Christmas. We go to the food bank once a month to help package food for the less fortunate. The second thing that I love about my school is that it is a college prep school. I will not have to learn how to study when getting to college because they push us daily. The third thing that I love about my school is the teachers. Our teachers make $20,000 less than the public school teachers in our area, but you can not tell by the way they teach us.

The educational opportunities at OCS go above and beyond any public school in the area. Having previously attended a public school, I know first hand how much more challenging the academics are. The school's goal is to prepare students for college, and I can honestly say that I feel well prepared. Plus, the numerous Dual-Enrollment courses I have taken will set me ahead in my college journey.
Overall this school ranking for me is low. I love the caring, responsible, and over all christ-like attitude most all faculty here portray. Though the college prep at this school is extremely difficult, it well prepares for your college experience. On the negative aspect of this school the kids are pretty snooty and only want what is best for themselves. Transferring from a public school in middle to a private college prep christian school was a drastic change. The kids were not very welcoming and I had a difficult time adjusting to the new atmosphere.
