I thoroughly enjoyed the clubs and activities I was involved in at OTHS. They offered a very diverse variety of opportunities for students and most sponsors were dedicated and involved.
Regarding academics, I was disappointed at the lack of STEM and coding opportunities, but I feel that most of my coursework prepared me fairly well for college. There were several excellent, involved teachers who would go out of their way to help students, but unfortunately, also others who were clearly just phoning it in.
Overall I felt that many teachers had a fixed mindset regarding education and were not willing/able to think outside the box to relate to their students. As a result, graduation seemed impersonal and systematic rather than a final celebration of our accomplishments. I'll miss some things about OHS, but I'm happy to be off to bigger and better things!

Overall, my experience at Ottawa Township High School has been good. The teachers are dedicated and will help you if you have any problems. Additionally, the school counselors go above and beyond to help students who are struggling with school or anything else. Not only are STEM programs strong, but the arts programs are flourishing as well, which is difficult to come by. Although diversity among students is lacking a little, the variety of clubs and activities is growing. There is something for everyone. The only thing that could be improved is the air conditioning, which only exists in parts of the buildings.
I was enrolled in the honor classes and the some teachers just seem like they dont belong. 2 of them were never there and you would think becuase its honors they would try to teach their students instead of just talking about their life. Most of my past classmates also complained about this. The diversity grade should be lower. You walk around and can tell and hear alll the racial comments. I was there many students didnt recieve the same respect due to their skin color by other students.
