Otay Ranch is a great school! Their staff is very strong when it comes to creating connections with their students. The Counselors are always open to the student and are there to ensure that all students have equal oppertunities to join the college career pathway. Many of the courses offered are beneficial to help students with their intended career pathways. For example, if a student is interested about going into a nursing program there are courses such as Human anatomy and AP chemistry to push you ahead and prepare you for college.

I enjoyed the available resources and opportunities that my school offers to students. For example, they grant free and flexible tutoring(by a student or teacher), informational events for parents and students of different grades, and have a variety of online resources for sports and extracurricular activities on their website. However, although this may be their greatest strength, it is also the school's area for most improvement needed. Because of a recent financial setback in school funds, staff should focus more on fundraisers and ways to increase money in order to improve and pay for buses, sports equipment, new laptops and textbooks, and order more resources that better the quality of student learning.
My experience at Otay has been pretty great! I tend to stay away from certain crowds so my experience may be very different from others’. I’ve met many new friends and, for the most part, great teachers. The only thing I wish could be change is the amount of ditching. Campus staff try their best to stop people, but we don’t have enough to stop everyone.
