I loved my overall experience at OHS. Kind teachers and administrators, great opportunities and clubs. I especially enjoyed the Adventure Education PE class option! There were many great AP and honors courses available, as well as stellar band, choir and theater programs. If I were to recommend something to change, I would suggest improvements to the science department. It was good, but I rarely had a GREAT learner-enabling teacher.
Review Oswego High School
I love Oswego High School! I am full of Panther Pride! Oswego has led me to success and excellence through challenging academics, competitive sports, and rewarding clubs. I enjoy the staff and sense of community at this school. GET INVOLVED! OHS is all about being involved in what you love and using that to meet friends and achieve success throughout your time here. There is truly a club for everyone here ranging from Student Council to Anime Club! OHS has a wonderful atmosphere and I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.
The teachers I had at the school were amazing, and my experience within the classes were just as great. The school offered many different clubs, and the teachers who host them love what they do. The teachers go above in beyond in their responsibilities for students who request it. They made the academics and clubs at the school great. However, do to some unfortunate events, security has had to tighten up, and student freedom has been limited. in my experience, favoritism among the staff was also an issue, but that seems a little unavoidable. Nevertheless, students complained about the emphasis on the football team that took away from other sports, clubs, and academics. But the school has been pretty generous, keeping many different opportunities open despite financial complications.
