It is a school of culture with magnificent staff and an incredibly broad range of academics and activities. There is always something to do and ways to get involved. The atmosphere of the school is welcoming and the memories formed their will last a lifetime, both the great memories, and the not-so-great memories (not-so-great memories will happen anywhere, but at Oswego East those bad memories are few and far between). Looking back, the only things I would change is the vending machines! They didn't work half the time. That and their food selection. While it was in no way bad, I would have liked more variety in what was served. Besides that, I would attend that high school again if I had to.
The academics are really great! There are clubs and good AP programs. Watch out for the math department especially Honors Algebra II. My kids had a harder time with that than calculus. All my kids so far have gotten scholarships for college.
There are some bad apples, but you can avoid them by taking honors and AP classes.
The Cross Country and Track programs are great! Baseball, I would not recommend. I've seen a lot of good players quit out of frustration. If you've seen Moneyball, it seems to be a lot like when Bill Bean is talking to the scouts, just not smart.

OE is a great school I just did not enjoy high school. There are many clubs, sports, and activities that I am grateful for because without these extracurriculars I wouldn't have the friends I have today! However, I do believe that I feel unprepared for college although I have taken AP classes and college credit.
