It's really easy to get involved with a sport or club at OV. Most of the clubs are headed up by teachers so they are extremely supportive of it. However, its hard to plan field trips and other things to that nature due to lack of funding. The students work very hard to fund raise and advertise, and the experiences gained are fantastic.

There isn't a lot of ethnic diversity, almost all the people are white. A lot of the student body is racist, homophobic, sexist, and transphobic; I think its has a lot to due with their home life and having true ignorance towards issues. I try to educate my friends and classmates and they seem to value my opinion.
The school has many great programs for sports and other extra curricular activities, there is quality in each of them. We are lacking variety in things such as sports due to lack of coaches and students to participate. The school spirit is high, even for students that aren't very involved in extra curriculars.
