Osbourn Park High is a great school academically and socially. There are many good programs, such as the Biotechnology and Engineering program I'm in, that has strong STEM classes and opportunities. The diversity of students as well as clubs have grown since my freshman year, which is nice to see. I've enjoyed my time here despite the pandemic and have made lots of lovely memories with friends and teachers alike. One of the things that need improvement, however, is the relationship between the student body and administration. There is often miscommunication or lack of communication from administration that leads to conflict, which makes it hard to do important tasks or problem-solve effectively. Overall, the student experience here is good with room for growth!
I've been a student at Osbourn Park Senior High school for 2 years and I'm now a senior. My first day at Osbourn Park, the teacher and administration team were very welcoming too all new students and gave guides all throughout the school hours. The school provides a large amount of space with it being 3 floors, with a weight training room, a drivers ED course range, and a football field outside. Osbourn Park is well known being a STEM school, their program for stem is unlike any other and does an amazing job at preparing students who want to go in STEM like careers, so I would highly suggest this high school if you wanted to pursue a STEM career path! The variety of classes coupled with the clubs the school offers, students alike with get the fulfillment of their high school experience. The only big issue is the college readiness. The kids only take an interest career test and talk too their counselor after and that's all you'll get, but besides that, the school is great all around.
I have had an amazing experience at my school! The teachers are very caring, encouraging, and always helping students succeed. Even with us being virtual during the last school year, teachers put the work to make this tough year better for everyone. The staff members are also considerate and makes the students' experiences as comfortable as possible. My favorite thing about my school has to be our student body, it is exceptionally diverse which is an amazing thing. We are able to learn and share with one another our experiences that can create bonds with each other. Our school pride is something that cannot be forgotten, no matter how big or small, we support our school's teams/clubs in any competition because any win for our school makes us happy! I have made memories at Osbourn Park with my fellow classmates and friends that I will never forget about and I know that even when I have graduated and is starting my life that I will always be a yellow jacket.
