My experience at Orland High wasn't anything too exciting but it's an experience that helped me grow as a person and that I'll never forget. It was a smaller school with a relatively tight nit group of students. I personally had a great relationship with my teachers, I felt as though I was their equal and never felt as I was being looked down upon. However, that being said, I was aware that was not the experience for everyone. That is on thing that I would change. Is the way that some teachers favored the AP or more advanced kids. I have seen instances in which there were some kids that were looked down upon by a teacher whether it was indirectly or not. The favoritism is there and is obvious to those that do not get the benefit of receiving it. Other than the few inequality treatments that some students received I think Orland high is a great school and I could not have wished to attended anywhere else.

Orland high school will always have a special place in my heart. The students are friendly and the staff is just as nice. Anyone is willing to help anybody that needs it, and if they can’t help you, they will lead you to someone who can. Orland high is a small school and it is very easy to find your way around. I like the fact that you know everyone by name, and people will wave to you and just talk. The class sizes are also small so it’s a great learning environment!
If there was anything I’d like to change, it would be the sports programs. I would like to see our sports get better equipment and uniforms. The football team gets new uniforms almost every other year, but sports that aren’t as popular don’t get the same treatment. I would like to see smaller sports teams like cross country and tennis get the same support as the other sports do.
The school is great! There are many great opportunities that you are able to experience. The kids are friendly, and the teachers make it worth my while to come to school and to learn something new everyday.
