Oregon High School Reviews
Rating 3.66 out of 5 170 reviews
I liked that the teachers are all very supportive and caring of each and every student. They made my experience here so great! There are some issues with disrespectful students, but you could find that at any high school. Overall, I've had a really great experience here.
I had a pretty good experience at Oregon High School. The teachers and staff try their best to make sure that everyone feels safe and feel like they belong at this high school. There were a few incidents where as a person of color I felt a little unsafe due to the school being not very diverse but I can tell it's becoming more diverse! All the teachers I have had are kind and give you the attention you need. Overall I had a very good experience at Oregon High School.
I like the strength and difficulty of some of Oregon High School's classes. I like that most teachers truly push you to succeed. However, I think there is a lot of unnecessary things we do here that do not relate to learning, and some classes are very poorly taught. When it comes to AP or honors courses, as a student, you really need a good teacher to help you to understand the content. This is important not only for the class but also for the AP test and your future in that subject. Several of my AP classes were very poorly taught and that made learning really difficult. In contrast, my Honors Physics class is the exact opposite. It is exactly what you want, teaching-wise, form an honors course. Overall, Oregon has prepared me to go to college post-graduation, but I wish the administration would focus more on hiring good teachers and not just qualified ones.
