As a senior at Oregon High School, I have truly enjoyed my time here. Despite the pandemic knocking us out of school our junior year, the administration did a wonderful job trying to accommodate all of its students.
Oregon High School is an amazing example of high school in small-town USA. While it is a fairly small school, the opportunities are that of a much larger one. There are clubs and activities available to everyone ranging from online gaming to bass fishing to competitive sports. No matter who you are you will find your place at OHS. The one place I feel could use some improvement, however, is the curriculum. There are very few classes offered that will benefit the average person in their day-to-day life such as home ec. Aside from that, I would say that overall, OHS is a great school.
This school is a very accepting community of individuals who want to see every student succeed. Each student is allowed to choose whatever path they would like to take in life with support from all of the staff.
Oregon was a very good High School to attend. Just like any other school it has flaws. Mostly the bullying and teachers letting kids get away with anything and everything. Although this has happened not many students are effected by it because they don't really care. If you don't pay attention to it happening it's not really noticeable. Other than that Oregon is a phenomenal High School and I plan on going back to the District to teach because I like it so much.
Oregon High School is a great High school. I went there for all four years and loved it. However, I felt like there wasn't enough classes for me to be able to challenge myself. The sports there are amazing there and so is their music clubs.
Oregon High School is a small town, rural school located in Northern Illinois. Despite OHS being small, they have big ideas. This is a great school to go to with plenty of opportunity for activities and community-based participation.
I liked that the teachers listened to me and didn't just move on when I need to ask a question. I also liked that when I felt there was an issue that needed to be addressed, I could voice my opinion and the teachers would listen. I feel that the changes that I have made to better the school individually has been noticed and appreciated.
Most importantly, Oregon High School has some of the best teachers I have ever had the pleasure to learn from. The staff cares for every student and clearly wants them all to succeed. There are clubs and sports for every student should they choose to join them. Overall, Oregon High School gave me a great high school experience and prepared me well for college.
it is a small town with lots of heart and school spirit. everyone knows everyone else and is always willing to lend a hand. the teachers are always there to help and go out of their way for you to learn the material
Shortly put, if you are looking to move and have kids, move to Oregon. OHS has a family atmosphere unlike any other high school I have seen. This is where you want to grow your family. If your kids are hawks, OHS will give them the resources needed to fly to any school they want in a genuine manner.
Oregon was a great school to be a part of. Most teachers wanted to see us succeed. I am still friends with some of my teachers. I go to them for advice. However, I would like to see Oregon become more strict. I know too many students that got away with acts that they should have been punished for.
Oregon High School has been a great place that I have attended for the last almost 4 years. The teachers at Oregon High School really care about every student and their education. They push you to do your very best all the time, and never give up on a single student. The academics Oregon High School offers are great for a high school; and the teachers that teach each class know the criteria that they are talking about. Oregon High School has about any club or activity you could possibly think of, which is a really great asset to the school. Oregon High School feels like a very safe place at all time, and there is never a reason to be afraid or uncomfortable while attending school.
My experience at Oregon High School was amazing. My four years at Oregon High School are four years that i will never forget.
The teachers and staff are amazing. They are a group of people that go out of their way to make sure that each student succeeds. The teachers at Oregon High School are genuine, caring individuals that truly love and enjoy their jobs.
The sports programs and the teams at OHS are incredible. All of the athletes on the team act as a family. We support one another and stick up for each other. However, we couldnt do this without the amazing coaching staff. The coaches take each athlete under their wing for the season and show tremeandous support and encouragement.
The parental support is more than asked for. The parents at Oregon High School show so much support for everythin g that goes on at the school. Wheter it be clubs, sports, grades, teachers, coaches, etc., the parents are giving 110% support.

I have had great experiences here. Coming from a small school everyone is very close so sporting events and school events mean so much more to everyone that participates because everyone feels the losses and wins.
All teachers will go to great lengths to help if asked. I once had a teacher stay after school with me for 2 hours to help with test taking strategies and studying for my ACT.
Even though we do have a bullying policy, our school does not do a good job of following it. The teachers and staff try to avoid the creation of problems so they do not report the bullying. Also, if bullying is reported, they say they will act on it but never do. Our school does do a fantastic job of security, having cameras around each building and in the school and keeping doors locked. I believe we do not have enough drug dog checks because I see people having drugs in their bags weekly and no action is taken from it.
There are many clubs and organizations throughout Oregon High School. They include: Key Club, Student Council, National Honors Society, Drama Club, International Cub, Dungens and Dragens, Chess Club, Health Club, Board Game Club, FFA, Christian Athletes, and Club 9. Most people are generally committed to these clubs and show up to most meetings.
