Oregon Connections Academy offers a unique approach to learning that allows students to maximize productivity and seek out opportunities that they might not have at a brick-and-mortar school. The program has features and resources that are catered to every individual student, however due to the online platform, social opportunities are not always available/accessible. The teachers work really hard to ensure that no student falls behind, but some show political bias in their teaching. The curriculum is often outdated, needing revisions from teachers, which can be stressful for students, however every lesson is equipped with several chances to get a deeper understanding of the content. Overall, Connections Academy has allowed me to spend less time sitting at a desk, while still getting a quality education!

I graduated from ORCA in 2019 and during my 10 years at ORCA, I enjoyed it. Being able to have your own schedule is an amazing thing, I could not imagine waking up early in the morning for school. Overall, I had a lot of good teachers that helped me learn the subjects I struggled with by responding and taking the time to teach me what I was doing wrong or missing.
Although I ended up not taking advantage of it, there are many AP classes available that will help get some required college credits out of the way before starting college!
I would definitely recommend this school to anyone who is tired of public schools and wants to control their own schedule while still getting the education they need for later in life.
Oregon Connections Academy was a great schooling option for me. Half way through freshman year my family moved to a different city an hour away and starting a new school mid-year was not a option for me. My parents talked to me about Connections Academy and it really seemed like a great choice. They have amazing teachers that make sure you succeed in all your work and test. They gave you extra credit options and even some classes you earned college credit! I really recommend Connections Academy for students that want to move ahead quicker and are working full time cause the schedule is flexible.
