This high school is a very friendly, accepting school, with a relatively small population which makes it all the more like a family. The staff is very dedicated to their students and bullying is non-existent as it is cooler to be kind than mean. I love my high school!

The curriculum that they teach here at Orcutt Academy is great, but just wish that they chose a better location to host a high school instead of placing OA into a former preschool. Sometimes I feel like I’m missing out on the “full high school experience” due to not having lockers or adequate sport fields such as football, baseball/softball, track, or swim. We don’t even have her own personal gym, instead we always have to use OJHS’s small gym and their tiny locker room for practically everything ranging from rallies to PE. Even during different sport seasons, OA always has to rent out different fields/gyms to host their own home games. As a growing high school, they need some place where they can have the ability to expand their property to shape and fit the needs of their school/students. instead I always feel constricted in such a small, but somewhat condensed location that only has a playground instead of simple things such as normal, clean, working bathrooms.
I liked the cmmunity-oriented community, feelfing of school comradery, athletic spirit, teacher passion for teaching, and the comfortable acceptance of each student's individuality by everyone present. I did however feel the school lacked in tactile-teaching, (auto shop, wood shop, personal development classes) that aim to teach self-understanding, help to display one's own weaknesses, and aim to harness each student's strengths through cognitive workout
