WHY MIDDLE SCHOOL?

We know the middle school years mark a significant time in a girl’s life. It is when she develops – physically, emotionally and intellectually – at a pace rivaled only by her first few years of life. We believe in the distinctive value of the middle school experience. Choosing to make 5-8 grade our exclusive focus, allows us to support and celebrate this exciting age. Our faculty possess subject area expertise and are middle school specialists. Through their implementation of a program designed to harness the potential of girls’, our students come to know their voice, talents, and abilities at a vitally important age.

FEMALE FORWARD

Research shows that girls’ confidence drops as much as 30% during the adolescent years. Not at Orchard House School, a leader in middle school education for girls. In a school designed just for them, girls move forward through the challenges of adolescence and emerge as confident, capable leaders prepared for high school and beyond.

C.O.R.E and EXPLORE!

academic spotlight

C.O.R.E. is the heart of Orchard House and is integrated into academic and social learning through active, hands-on learning and experiences in real-life scenarios. EXPLORE! Figuring out who she is and how she fits in is a middle school girl’s chief developmental task. At Orchard House, we promote positive identity formation and leadership skills through our Explore! program.
