Our experience at Orangewood has been phenomenal! For the past 4 years that my son has been attending the school, we have been extremely pleased. It is a safe environment where the teachers go above and beyond to help your student succeed. The smaller class sizes have been such a benefit to our son's academic experience, providing him with the individualized attention he needs. One of the greatest discoveries we have found has been the close-knit community that our family has become a part of at Orangewood. From the relationships with the faculty and administration, to the connections with other families, the school has served our family in so many ways beyond our expectations. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend Orangewood to anyone!

Orangewood is a tight nit school that feels like a large family. The size compared to public highschools is very small, but it gives the school an advantage to be very personal. Every teacher/ faculty member knows your name and you get to develop relationships with your teachers. I really noticed the difference between my schools and others when I would go to other schools to take the SAT. In other schools, even those kids that went there didn't know the teachers, as well as I, knew mine. The teachers couldn't even recognize them, and the facilities were not very nice and clean. My school makes a very good effort in doing everything to the best of there abilities and you can definitely see. They focus on students first making sure they understand the material and challenge them for college while creating a peaceful atmosphere for learning. It is an amazing place that I was blessed to be able to attend and where one day hopefully I will be able to share with my children.
OCS is a great place for a young Christian seeking a community of like-minded people and approachable educators. I have found myself in a lovely class of schoolmates I get along with, and I have found success in my academic and extracurricular activities at this school. One improvement I would wish to see in the future is longer lunch times (they're very brief, and sometimes I feel rushed to eat) and a class to take in which you can learn about how to best prepare for college (as opposed to emails or meetings, in which you have to prepare on your own time, though the school proves very supportive through it all). I would also like to see a stronger spiritual community among my fellows, as I feel like many of us are Christians, but we don't necessarily mirror the excitement given by the Holy Spirit, which is, granted, a heart thing, but still something I'd like to see in my school.
