Overall, Open high is a great school that offers college level classes in order to prepare you for college. The teachers are very well educated in their area of studies and are very understanding to student situations that may arise. Student life is very important to Open. Everyone knows Everyone. With the diverse student classes, all students have the opportunity to make new and unique friends. Also, with the hour lunches provided to students, there is a lot of time to explore around the school, such as, the overlook and the river. There is also a lot of tasty nearby food spots to go to that is affordable!
I love open From the building to all the teacher.I have learned many new things I think it is a unique school.I would never change my school to another.I also encourage more students to choose open high.in open high we have very supportive teachers and students who are always there for you.due to COVID I could not finish my freshman year yet it was a great experience.in open we have many fun activities which we encourages us to spend time and get to know each other.I am also great full that open high counselors, teachers ad principal do a good job in finding innovative activities. Each student at open high has there own special personality but we are all brilliant.I love how we also can go out for lunch in Cary town or at VHDA where food is inexpensive. In open I finally know what it felt like teachers and administrators actually caring about their students.I also know others students feel the same way about open. Going to open has been delightful and I will always treasure it.
I love the autonomy you get to experience there, especially as someone who has never experienced freedom of that sort before. Most of us are really close with each other because we're such a small student body (each graduating class has around 50 or 60 kids). But even if you aren't super close with that many people, everyone knows who everyone is just about, which is something you can't really experience in regular sized schools. My only real complaint is there's no music classes. There's just visual art.
