Opelousas Senior High might be a D school, however with the curriculum they offer, it is actually quite worth it. This is my second year going to OHS, and although the environment barrier put up by some of the students may lead to difficulties in learning, the teachers really do care and will offer to help. I rate OHS a solid three stars only because of the educational environment, but otherwise OHS will not fail to provide a student with the ultimate high school experience.
My experience at Opelousas Senior High has been an ongoing academic journey from the moment I stepped into the Institute. There is a multitude of opportunities available at Opelousas Senior High. sports, clubs, and activities at Opelousas Senior High are what I love most about the school. I have become state champions in Track & Field with my closest friends and have gone to Boys State and represented my school at Northwestern University. There is a positive atmosphere at the school, during all my years that I have attended the school. I would like for our school standard academically rise. The teachers and administration have allowed me to have excellent grades and scores, but it is up to all the students attending this school to do the same. The Biomedical Academy at my school has allowed me to have such a great background on my scientific studies. I'll keep it short Opelousas Senior High is the place for opportunities, but there is still much work to do.
