Onalaska High School Reviews
Rating 3.97 out of 5 115 reviews
I went to school here and I'll say the teachers were great and the education was great but didn't enjoy the student population with all the cliques, jocks and preppy students. I felt excluded, left out and had a hard time making friends here. I also felt I wasn't the best accommodated here with having learning disabilities especially when I failed two subjects knowing I was struggling. I believe they should of gave me extra supports or specialized instruction atleast in those classes. I believe their needs to be better education on inclusion in this school as well and how to involve those who are different more.
The school does a lot to provide students with a good education in each of the core subjects; however, I think that there should be more computer science-related courses, e.g., coding, web development, etc. It would expose students to more possible career paths.
The school should also be more focused on the well-being of all their students, both physically and mentally. The school would benefit greatly if they had a homeroom period. Students could build stronger relationships with their classmates and teachers which could help to improve the school environment and increase school spirit.

Not terrible, but nothing exceptional, and certainly not deserving of the high rating on Niche.
Educational quality ranged from worthless to good, depending on the instructor.
Bullying was an occasional problem.
At least two male teachers had affairs with female students during my time there, which was icky as a student and appalling as a parent.
Drug use was pretty common, but easy to avoid.
