Overall, attending Liberty High School was a pleasurable experience. The majority of teachers I had did their best to educate us or various topics and were nice enough. Liberty High School has a variety of classes to choose from. Whether it´s academic or recreational, you can be sure there is something for everyone. My main concern was the counselors. It was nearly impossible to set up an appointment with my guidance counselor and once I did, they rather unhelpful and didn´t seem to be interested in properly answering any of my questions or actually giving me advice. Other than that, Liberty High School is a good school.
Liberty High School definitely has its pros and cons. The academics are really strong here and as a student I was challenged a lot. I am currently a freshman at a rigorous college and I can't explain how grateful I am that I was pushed a lot in high school. A lot of my peers are struggling with studying and keeping up with course work. I thought I would be the same way but the work is manageable and that is all due to the challenging curriculum that Liberty offers. Now, Liberty has a lot of flaws. The senior staff do little to address the apparent racism, homophobia, and mental health crisis that is at Liberty. Due to the amount of work students are given (varies depending on courses. Usually AP/honors classes will give out a lot more) mental health problems exist. The school needs to do a better job at addressing these issues.
The culture that liberty has built Over the years really shows in what we do and how we do things. You can just see that liberty Patriots chase excellence every day. The teachers, the staff, resource officers, custodians and the students are all amazing people and they work hard at what they do. It truly a blessing to be a liberty Patriot. Liberty has great sports teams great facilities a competitive culture With all kinds of clubs and activities and how much parent involvement Ive seen really shows that the parents love the school they chose for their child.
