It's been a very tough year all around, and ONHS has been on top of it in keeping students and parents up to date with the constant changes. Good communication from administration. Teachers for are there for the kids - support available as needed. As tough as it has been on families, I believe it has been as equally tough on all of the ONHS staff; they getting a standing applause!
Our son has discovered new interests for his future and has had several positive role models to help him develop skills he will need. Animation and Horticulture are about as far apart as you can get in career paths. Mr. Swift and Mr. Krenke are both enthusiastic and have both inspired our son to do the best he can.
ONHS is SUPER! Go Eagles!

I have been in Olathe North for 3 years and they’ve been the best three years! All the teachers are open minded and respectful and they help you anytime you want especially in your senior year! Also, it’s a diverse school and it’s nothing like any other schools. You meet students from many cultures and you get to be introduced to other countries! The 21st century program like Sports Medicine and Medical Professions are so professional and help students to discover their interests in medicine and decide if they would like to continue in college! It’s definitely worth it
My experience at Olathe North seemed about the same as most High Schools. You have pros, and you have cons. For example, I really enjoyed the teachers I had at North. I didn't have a problem with any of them. I also really enjoyed our gyms. They're pretty big sized and beautiful shiny floors. A couple things I didn't like: I did not enjoy our lunches here. Rarely did we have a lunch that was actually fresh and tasty. Lunch ladies were sweet, but food, not so much. Another negative is the bathrooms. One word: Unsanitary. Writing everywhere on the stalls and walls, always smelled bad in there with no air freshener or wall spray, and one time there was even pee on the floor! Olathe North deserves three stars, and I wish I could give more because the school is not the worst, but they can definitely improve.
