A small school with a small-town feeling. Teachers that really care. It is PreK through 12, so relationships are well established. Students have the ability to participate in multiple activities. Christian values in all we do. Very rigorous academics and confidence in college readiness. Great high school counselor!

I attended Oklahoma Christian School from 5th grade through graduation. I have made many friends that I still keep in touch with even though I went to an out-of-state college. I would not change my experience for anything. It has a great Christian atmosphere. Every Wednesday the school holds chapel with student-run worship (sometimes) and a speaker, either the campus chaplain or a guest invited by the chaplain. Most teachers will start the day off with prayer and sometimes before exams we would take the time to pray as well. The teachers really care for their student's well-being as well as their academic success. I really felt like they wanted the best for us and that they would take time to help us succeed in life. Oklahoma Christian School is a college preparatory school. I definitely believe that I was fully prepared for college. I felt like I had an advantage by starting college with in-depth knowledge of how to write academic essays, whether for research purposes or persuasion.
The administration is misogynistic. Several times girls (both individually and in groups) were taken out of class for lectures on dress code (ex: a lecture on how girls shouldn’t wear flowy skirts and walk up the stairs, lest the boys look up the girls’ skirts as they walk up). These lectures were ridiculous and took away valuable class time for the girls.

OCS is weak academically. They offer very few AP courses, and most of the ones they do offer are social studies courses. There are exactly 4 AP STEM courses available in all four years. OCS does not offer any sort of AP chemistry courses, calc-based Physics (AP or otherwise), Calc 3, Diff Eq, OChem, or any sort of language course other than Spanish.

OCS should not be considered a college prep school. If you want your child to be academically challenged or successful in college, you’d be better off at a public school than OCS.
