My experience as been great! Other than some teachers, the staff are great and do an amazing job! My consoler and advisor are saints, and even online they were quick to answers all my questions. Even though we are online, the teachers have made the classes fun and engaging.
I moved from North Carolina to Ohio and OHVA was an easier transition for me then going to an in-person high school. There were times that I didn't like doing online school because it made feel lonely. Doing online school is not for everyone, but for me it helped my grades go up and helped me find a new interest of mine that can be a career choice. OHVA does offer online session or in-person get togethers, so you can make friends. OHVA offers clubs and many diverse electives for you to chose something that you enjoy. I met so many incredible teachers who have changed the way I learn and helped change my point of view on certain academic subjects. You will make friends at OHVA because it's inevitably. OHVA has helped me find my path in life; although, not everyone knows what to do after high school, OHVA gives you options for anything you have an interest in. If you want to join OHVA remember to put yourself out there by joining clubs and or going to in-person events.
My time with OHVA (Ohio Virtual Academy) was honestly the best. I feel like my time spent with them, benefited me in so many ways and taught me new skills including time management and responsibility. Dealing with chronic health issues made schooling difficult, but with the teachers at OHVA, they understood and helped me in any which way they could. The only thing I’d really change is senior graduation. Instead of having all the seniors graduate in the same day, split it up by alphabetical order.
