Ocoee High School fostered an academically challenged courses if you strive to take AP Classes. AP teachers at Ocoee High School are dedicated to their teaching, a few example includes Calculus AB & BC (which is very rewarding!), Psychology, and World History. These four classes are hands-down my favorite. I took AP Biology but since the teacher was new to the course, we did not get to actually do lab work.
Ocoee High School is also known for our wonderful Marching Band (I guess we're quite well-known) and our band programs. Though we're not as competitive as other schools, students enjoyed their stay at Ocoee High. Ocoee have a wide-range of clubs cater for different kind of students.

I hope that Ocoee could encourage students to prepare for the SAT & ACT though. I regret not knowing about it in Sophomore/Junior year and now being a senior, my scores are not as competitive as students from other schools.

My experience at Ocoee is one that I would never trade in the world. I love the diversity at my school and the student involvement in dances, sports, arts, band, etc. The students at my school truly appreciate the band and dance team, making all school events even more enjoyable. As well as the football games. The games were the most memorable part of Ocoee, it's when you will see the most student integration, regardless or ethnicity, status, or intrest. I liked that it was easy to build friendships with students and relationships with our teachers. I also really enjoyed the Student Government program that my school offered, it opened many doors of opportunity for me. As well as encourage school spirit and was the main reason for the students at Ocoee to have such great school pride. I wish we saw more student input on school events.
5 years ago, it was my first day as a high school freshman. I was scared, anxious, excited, and wide-eyed all at the same time. I only knew people from my elementary and middle school, but I gained a few friends from other schools as well. I joined various club organizations, such as NHS (National Honors Society) & NAHS (National Art Honors Society). Throughout my 4 years at Ocoee, I also played sports; I played basketball my freshman year, joined the lacrosse team, playing all 4 years, and swam my junior year. While at Ocoee, challenges that arose were academic challenges, but with teachers who were willing to tutor and help me, I maintained a steady GPA of 3.0 or higher throughout my high school career. I gained artistic creativity and I also came out of my shell at times. Looking back, I can say it was truly amazing to be a Knight.
