Oceanside was a great school for me and lots of my friends from since we all started to when we just graduated this year (June, 2019). The teachers push us hard to help us create a bright future for ourselves. The councilors did forget to inform me about most requirements and milestones to strive towards to keep me in the eye of most college's untill my junior year. The facilities were regularly underperforming untill my senior year, and the food, although it tasted bad was still somewhat healthy. The diversity was very poor as many times I was the only African American in my class Wich was sometimes very akward. The clubs including music/arts/sports were all very great Wich (sports) is one of the reasons I initially wanted to join as I heard great things from the coaches as well as the team accolades.Overall the school was mixed in good and bad as the only real knocks being diversity and safety Wich could easily be accounted to the location.

What I like about Oceanside High School is the fact that I get to be with my friends every day of the week for all 4 years of high school even though we get on each others nerve. But not only because of that but be cause they do offer a limited amount of classes that's based and seperated into what teens are thinking about career wise. For example, AOJ which is Academy of justice, medical studies and much more. AOJ is currently what I have been interested in since coming to this school because ever since I can remember I would always and only say that I just wanted to be a lawyer, but through the years in this pathway I have been considering otherwise like a lawyer in criminology and with what has to do with solving crimes and other things like that which would help open doors for me into programs that offer things like that. If it weren't for me coming to this school I would have not enjoyed my classes or my overall high school experience because of this class.!.
Oceanside's academics are decent, and there are a good amount of course options, I would recommend those to take ap psychology with Villapando as she is a great teacher and the class is very easy for ap classes, the counseling options for schedules and schedule changes aren't available when school starts except in very specific cases. Their athletics are most funded in boys soccer, and football, other sports vary in funding and some sports are overlooked such as wrestling which doesn't receive much attention.
