I'm not so sure about others, but with each class having about 450 kids, I can say that Ocean Springs High School is great. This school has consistently been in the top 3 high schools in the entire state. It spits out an abundance of talented individuals every year, being talented in academics, athletics, and music & arts.
Located near the edge of Ocean Springs, the school itself is quite large, with a simple, two floor design, with 4 main hallways in total. There are many classrooms, a large cafeteria, two gymnasiums, and a spacious library. Furthermore, the main structure includes a CTE building for certain classes like aquaculture, robotics, contemp. health, and family dynamics. Outside of the school, there are plenty of parking spots for students, soccer fields, greenhouses, and softball fields.
Academics are good. The math and english departments are great, while the science departments are so and so. The school excels in most sports and competitions except football.

Through the years I've spent at Ocean Springs High school, I've seen/experienced bullying, racial targeting, social media influences resulting in punishments, fighting, teacher's fired, and more. It's chaos and not a good environment to learn in. It's about the money and the representation, less so the children. Even in a pandemic, masks are overlooked as well as social distancing. Children are limited in their possibilities & opportunities at this school until they find that one teacher that lets them know their worth. I like the drastic change between the standard teachers versus very few that help and try their best to help the kids improve. It changes people's day and helps their motivation, which is highly needed in an environment such as Ocean Springs High School.
My experience with OSHS was stupendous. I enjoyed almost my entire elementary, middle, and high school career with Ocean Springs School District. Ocean Springs high was probably the most impactful due to the several extra curricular activities and available opportunities to determine the path I intend to take. The school made a point to focus on the major political, ethical, and personal issues that came with being a student and showed the up-most school spirit i've seen.
