OCCHS is a great high school! It has so many unique classes that aren't offered at other high schools. It has a great CTE program with many classes and fields to choose from including: medical, veterinary, mechanical, agricultural, and criminal justice. It is not very diverse but the percentage of minorities did increase during my four years there. Overall I had a great experience.
I transferred from another school during my freshman year. The staff at OC provide a feeling of belonging, as well as being willing to help students reach their academic and extracurricular goals. It isn't uncommon to find teachers at after school events to cheer on their students. The Guidance staff stays on top of the students to make sure they're making every effort to find scholarship opportunities, schedule ACT testing, and find the path they want to head in after graduation.
Obion County Central High School (or OCCHS) is pretty nice! The teachers are pretty supportive (especially the band teacher), and the janitors do a good job of keeping the school clean. The only things lacking is school spirit.
