Our school is full of so much spirit. Despite being such a large class, everyone knows one another and respects each other. With that, our athletics program, fine arts programs, and clubs are all full of the same relevance across the board. Theres no hierarchy of “who’s popular” or who’s not, we’re all high school students who want to make our 4 years the best to the fullest. As an upcoming senior who is Class President, my goal is to provide lots of activities and volunteer opportunities for all class grades to enjoy!
I've been at Oakleaf High School for a year now. It has been a great experience for me! There are amazing teachers. I've always had an issue with math, and my Algebra 2 teacher from freshman year gave students many tools to be successful, including review sheets and tutoring. There are many different clubs to choose from, including art, theatre, basketball, chorus, physics, gym, keyboarding, psychology, and more. Oakleaf High School also has many different clubs to choose from. There's drama club, guitar club, recycling club, culinary club, debate team, national honor society, and so much more.
I will say most people here are really nice and cool.
there are a lot of issues here though, just today there was a sewage leak that is mostly out of their control but the way it was handled made it very annoying to experience.
I have been here 3 years graduating next year and this year the threats on the schools GSA club have been more then they should have been. At least twice someone has been reported to have a gun during the after school clubs and this happened right after our GSA club got threatened.
a lot of teachers here are amazing but the select few make in so hard to learn in their class. A teacher last year gave me a panic attack in the middle of class.
guidance is very unhelpful if in my experience to the point I have not yet even been able to contact my guidance counselor.
They are an all around good school there's just these small things that make it not very enjoyable.
If you can deal with these small things I say it's a very good school!
