I like how professional and friendly the teachers are. As an immigrant, my biggest fear is English. However, the teachers at this school help me realize that English is not that difficult. Everyone can get overcome that. It's true. I hope to see the education change to be more difficult for students. Because I am immigrant, I know that I have to fight for my dream harder than the other. The school will be a big supporter for my success.

in Oakland International High School they teach us from the basics for newcomers. I want to middle school in Oakland so I know a little bit English so if I finish my work I help other people and they have many opportunities for people who are advanced like college math and English classes. And they will help you apply those classes. I like this school because they give me many opportunities. Even though our school is small I think this is the best school for newcomers and immigrants.
I have been studying in the OIHS for 1 year. There are many students from many different countries. Most students are Latino, so they talk each other with Spanish language. therefore learning english is hard for students.
