Oakland Charter provides many opportunities for students to learn and benefit outside of school. For example, teachers have given us several scholarships, internships, and programs to apply to. Teachers and counselors are always willing to help students and take their time to guide us. There are many clubs that are available, all of which provide great events to obtain volunteer hours and great learning experiences. However, some change is necessary in sports and the food. There are some sports that are not open that would attract more students, such as swimming and track. Not many are motivated to join sports because they are uninterested in the ones provided. As for the food, I would like to see improvement in the quality of the lunches. There are days where the food just appears to be unappetizing, diminishing the yearning to eat. All in all, Oakland Charter provides several wonderful opportunities for their students to become better individuals.

I appreciated the hardworking teachers and the effort that they put into each lesson. The teachers encouraged students to ask questions for clarification or to challenge a thought or issue. The workload reflected the lessons reviewed in class but instead of simply repeating what was discussed in class or read in a book, the homework would force students to think comprehensively. However, if I could improve the school, I would opt for better programs such as meth clubs or science clubs or even a finance club. The school does need to improve on the clubs and sports arena as there is little to none. Overall, I believe Oakland Charter High provided me with the skills needed to compete at a nationally ranked university.
The things I loved about Oakland Charter High School is for the education that the school provide to their students. Their education provides a opportunity for their students to develop the necessary skills and knowledge that they will need to know in order to prepare themselves for college and gain more chances in succeeding on life. In addition, the teachers from the school treats their students in a respectful and friendly demeanor, where they always tries their best to help their students in succeeding. If there was anything I had like to see change, I would preferably see changes in their food choices that the school provides to their students in lunch time, and add more food choices that are delicious as well as healthy to eat. It would also be appreciated if the school added more extracurricular activities for their students to participate in.
