I absolutely loved my time at OC! It's the only all-female Catholic high school in WPA, which makes it a special place to learn and grow. Every here, especially the teachers, is very supportive, however, the students are very competitive. This school is not for the faint of heart or the lazy. Expect to have some fun, but also work extremely hard here.
Review Oakland Catholic High School
I recently transferred to Oakland Catholic from a small high school located in South Florida. The staff and other girls at school made me feel extremely welcome and took me under their wing. On top of that, the academics here are quite challenging but the teachers are all extremely willing to help you out and make sure that you properly understand how to solve or do something. My senior year, they started focusing a lot on college by doing college seminars, college visits, and even our classes incorporate aspects that will help us succeed in college. There honestly isn't anything I wish to change.
Oakland Catholic High School has been a very special and life-changing experience for me and I am confident that many other students would agree too. Being at Oakland has helped me build relationships with many professionals and the students around me. There are many opportunities to meet new people such as Masque, Crew, Art Club, Golf, & a never-ending list of many other sports and clubs. Along with the clubs and sports, there are other ways in which teachers and staff promote friendliness and diversity and that happens in the classroom with group activities, seminar-style teachings, and simple games so that students can learn and have fun while doing so. Not only does Oakland Catholic promote diversity, it promotes college readiness for it is a college-preparatory institution with great alumni from well-acclaimed schools teaching students everyday. Overall, Oakland Catholic is a great institution where you can make friends, prepare for your future, all while growing closer to God.
