Although Oak Park is a small school compared to the others in the district, the variety of different people is great. Everyone in the school is laid back and easy to get along with. As a student, I feel like we really do have a family- like bond with one another. The amount of talent this school has is like no other, whether it comes to curricular or extracurricular. Many Alumni from Oak Park have done great things with themselves. Overall Oak Park is an amazing school to go to! #blueonblue #forthefamily

Good environment, great administrators. Some teachers were lack luster. There was a lot of diversity and the sports teams generally were competitive but lacked the ability to win titles. The music and theater programs were excellent and won many awards. The administrators often went out of their way to care for and entertain the students, and generally did a good job of making sure the teachers were capable of doing their jobs well. A couple of the teachers shouldn’t have been given a teaching degree, but other than that I have no complaints. Good location, good sense of community, and great parent base.
I’m experience at oak park high school will be one I’ll always remember. High school can be a ruff time for some people but I knew that if I was ever struggling with anything personal I was always able to talk to anyone. While there’re are something I would change such as some of the polices regrading attendance because sometimes I had things going on at home I needed to deal with and missed school and that caused my attendance percentage to go down and affect my grade and that seemed unfair regrading some of the issues I had going on but, I understand why it’s in place. I was given so many good experiences that I’ll cherish forever.
