Although Oak Park is a small school compared to the others in the district, the variety of different people is great. Everyone in the school is laid back and easy to get along with. As a student, I feel like we really do have a family- like bond with one another. The amount of talent this school has is like no other, whether it comes to curricular or extracurricular. Many Alumni from Oak Park have done great things with themselves. Overall Oak Park is an amazing school to go to! #blueonblue #forthefamily

As a staff member, I believe the culture of our school is what sets us apart from most High Schools. We have a saying #ForTheFamily and it wasn't until I arrived at Oak Park, that I truly understood what a school Family could feel like. Our kids are wonderful humans, we have a passionate parent base, teachers and staff really care about our kiddos, and most of all Oak Park is a safe place to learn and grow. We certainly are not perfect, but what family is? We are a great model, with great people, pushing our kids to be their best in every way possible, every single day. I'm happy to call Oak Park High School home.
I would love to see the enthusiasm of the teachers change as well as a stronger, advanced curriculum be inserted into the school for students whose curiosity burns and who have passion for academia, even if the class is only three students.
Oak Park does have a strong response when it comes to bullying--it won't be tolerated. But it still feels superficial as a school. Interested in only outward appearances instead of substantial academic achievement.
