I recently moved to Oak Mountain High School this year in March. I had the best transition here. The staff is absolutely amazing, words can’t even describe it. The teachers go out of their way to help you succeed. Something i’m not really used to. Even for new kids, they have a program where the take a day out and they call it “Impact Day” they basically take new students who’ve been there for a short period of time, and also older students who have always went to oak mountain and combine them in the schools gym and have activities to meet and greet people. I met some amazing students from it, who have been really close friends to me. It was one of the best days. Oak Mountain is one of the best schools around who wants to see you succeed in every way you can. So glad we made we move to come here. Hopefully you will do the same with your children! #goom

There is an Oak Mountain spirit that is unlike most high schools! School tended to be very stressful with a large workload, but I took multiple AP classes. Most teachers are highly dedicated and want nothing else but to see each student succeed. They care for their students. Sports are phenomenal and win a lot! I thoroughly enjoyed my high school experience.
I have been in the Oak Mountain school system since I was in kindergarten. I feel that the school could have been better in more ways than not. Yes, they do teach you on how to do well for college with the hard curriculum. But, it is not diverse and everything is a popularity contest. You have a chance to do better here if you are involved in extra curricular activities than not. This shows when the teachers have clear favorites and allow these certain students to do whatever. We have the resources to make our school so greater than it is but we have failed to achieve this.
