School facilities were pretty good when I was at Oak Knoll. Since I have graduated and returned to visit they have become superb! They have invested in multiple renovations of various buildings and everything is way more modern and improved now. Technology has also progressively gotten better. The employment of more technology staff has increased the technical support for students who use the laptops we use. Quality of guidance counselors, as I said before, is fantastic. Quality of college prep resources is also great; Oak Knoll students are expected to work hard and seek these resources. Tutoring (especially peer-tutoring) is highly encouraged and is a well-functioning system. The teachers are more than willing to help us as well. In our small community, parents are heavily involved, seeing as many family provide generous donations/gifts to the school. Many families are legacy families and have sent generation after generation of their children to Oak Knoll. Busing is very convenient and easy.
Students are free to take whatever coursework they wish. There are unique engineering and computer science classes that are offered to all students. There are options to take many AP and Honors classes, and graduating seniors continue to attend great colleges. Seniors complete a capstone project prior to graduation where they have the option to intern at workplaces such as business or law office, shadow doctors, or work for non-profits. The girls are extremely well prepared for college, and many come back to say that college is not much harder than Oak Knoll.
