I am so thankful and blessed that I attend Oak Grove High School. I have been going to Oak Grove since Kindergarten, and i am extremely grateful. The community is amazing, and the staff at the high school is so caring. The school really lets the children get involved in many activities and clubs. The teachers are amazing. They push us to do our very best, but they are willing to help if we cannot understand the material. Oak Grove is an amazing school, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for them. I am proud to be an Oak Grove Tiger!

I have went to Oak Grove High School since kindergarten. It’s been my home. I’ve made so many friends the past 13 years, along with amazing memories. Oak Grove is where I’ve learned everything about life. How to read, write, play music, play sports, fall in love, getting my heart broken, having friends who will always have my back, how to stand up to bullies, care for my peers, and knowing not to look back but to look forward because that’s where my future is. Yeah, I may have had some boring classes or the school food wasn’t the best but none of that matters, what matters is that I was able to learn and grow with the people I’ve been with since day one.
Oak Grove is a small community in the deep, south Bible Belt. I’m not saying my School is without problems but I feel it has fewer problems with drugs, gangs and other problems. All the teachers know all the students by name and many of my teachers graduated with my parents. I believe this is the reason that most my teachers really want to see their students succeed. Also , in the last two years OG received a new principal and she has brought many great changes including various Dual Enrollment opportunities. I am very excited to know as I began my college career, I will have fifteen hours of college credits. I guess if Oak Grove has any downfalls it would be because of its size, we lack some of the college prep classes such as physics and also lack of publication for us athletes that would have liked to have been noticed by colleges.
