I attended Ovey Comeaux High School from 2012-2016. Everything from the teachers, the countless tests and never-ending homework, the first crushes, the fights, the friendships earned and lost, were all such good experiences that forged me into who I am today. In this school there was such freedom, however the authority figures were strict when needed. Friends and I would have gotten ourselves caught doing something we weren't supposed to be doing, and most teachers/principles would let us off scott free sometimes simply because they knew we were just kids learning, and growing, and making the memories we now look back on emotionally, just wishing the times wouldn't have gone so fast. I am forever grateful for every day, every teacher, every social encounter, and every event that I was lucky enough to experience at Ovey Comeaux High School.

I’m involved in cheerleading, national honors society, and beta club and it has helped me get involved in the school. Overall I would have to say that my high school experience has been okay. The school is currently trying to bring back the school spirit that it has been lacking which is really hopeful. I believe that the school would be better if more care was put into the after school clubs, and education. Some teacher are amazing and are genuinely good teachers, while others make you surprised that they haven’t gotten fired yet. I feel that this school has prepared me for college pretty decently, but I definitely feel that I could have possibly been better prepared.
Going to comeaux for 4 years, I’ve experienced many good things, however I’ve also experienced many bad ones. The technology in most computer labs are somewhat outdated. Yet the internet hardly works for the updated computers. The ceilings and walls throughout the school are moldy and dirty. Recently they’ve added a new wing to the school. It is extremely nice and one of the highlights of going there. The teachers and staff are mostly friendly and understanding. All in all. It’s not the worst place to attend school.
