Nyack High does an amazing job of offering students lots of opportunities to take the classes that interest them. They offer a wide range of APs, are offering more dual enrollment (with colleges) classes, as well as Project Lead the Way. But most of all, I have been impressed with the teachers - not only high quality, but caring and really dedicated to working with students as long as it takes. Most stay after school for tutoring regularly. And the class sizes are small. We are fortunate that our school is able to serve the needs of such a diverse community. This school district has been great since kindergarten and only getting better each year! The stats of next year's graduating class (2019) are incredible!

Outside of class, most teachers are always available to answer questions about school work, career choices and current events. If you're ever feeling stressed about anything there is always someone who will listen and act on your concerns. Teachers are receptive to how students want to be taught and most take care in organizing their lessons in an understandable manner.
Guidance is good. If you need the help you have to seek it out.
In my experience, the relationships within the sports teams are tight. Everyone comes from different backgrounds and has varying levels of experience. The coaches are highly invested in their athletes no matter the skill level.
Diversity is good. It was good to see everyone from different cultures sharing their experiences both in the classroom and out.
Food choices can be better. School faculty diversity can also be improved.
Nyack High School is a diverse school. They encourage students to challenge themselves and create a healthy environment for learning. Most of the teachers are good at their jobs, although some aren’t. They offer many AP courses for students interested and they have a large selection of electives to choose from. Many students participate in athletics and they have a large array to choose from. They have clubs for almost anything you could want. There are many opportunities for students to participate in school events. Overall, Nyack High School is a great school and I wouldn’t have wanted to go anywhere else.
