It's a continuation school, so of course people stick their nose up at the topic. However, I found this school to be the most supportive in all the high schools that i've gone to, that's around 5 total, just saying. It's quite small, but because of this the students and staff end up becoming very friendly with each other. The communication is absolutely wonderful. However, the students are easily discouraged and their peers tend to lead them away from their education. The counselor there, Mrs. Martinez was totally supportive and always did her best to have students better their future. Those who failed deserved it, those who passed did what they had to do. As long as you do your homework and pay attention in class, you're fine. If you ignore the lessons and such, you obviously won't get much of it. They present awards to those who've worked hard in certain classes. Those and after school events were probably some of the best experiences for me. They have a college representative attend the school towards the end to inform students on opportunities, around 2. Small community, but everyone looks out for each other. That's probably why I loved this school so much. I ended up befriending most of the staff and it made the school year more enjoyable.

If you receive multiple tardies, they hve Saturday school to make up for it. It's mostly do your homework until your time is up and they provide snacks. After school, you can make up credits thanks to the online credit recovery class they have. I believe they had yoga at some point as well. The students don't seem very invested on what goes on in the school, but mostly because they're alone in the events and would only attend based on how many of their peers do as well. The teachers are always very helpful and try to encourage students.
The teachers are very encouraging and do their best to try to help a student pass. I've learned quite a few from some classes. However, due to some of the students being a bit lethargic and unmotivated, we sometimes got off schedule. A fair amount of homework is given and put into practice during lessons. Most try their best to engage the students on certain topics. If you do nothing in the class, you will not pass. Take responsibility for your actions, remember you are there for a reason.
