Nova High School has allowed me to be myself in a way that I couldn't have done anywhere else. They encourage self-expression, your identity, and just figuring out who you are and who you want to be. At the same time, you are held to a very high standard. At other high schools you can just not show up all the time, and not turn in assignments, and be just fine. Not here. Here, you have to put in the effort. And through all of this, the school will be there to support you every step of the way. You have to put in the effort, yes, but the school will put just as much effort back.
Here, everyone truly cares about you. The teachers take the time to get to know you as a person, not just another student out of perhaps thousands. All of the teachers are extremely knowledgable, and most have advanced degrees. They can work with you to adapt to what you need, and what you want to learn.

Very good school where you can make your education work best for you. Nova employes a fantastic staff and amazing, passionate teachers that care about their students. Nova is truly what you make it, therefore you can either be the independent student you want to be or not. Great school!
Nova public High School is a great school for someone who wants to get away from boring cirriculum in traditionalm schools. You work with a coordinator to plan your high school education: classes, activities, etc. The cirriculum is credit based without grades, which makes it harder to pass because in "normal school" grading you have to have at least a B+ or A- to pass. If you get less than roughly this, you will need to retake a class for that specific credit. This makes it sometimes harder to graduate for people, but Nova is since it is growth-based it can also be better for others. Nova is great for people who feel a little like an out-cast in big schools and want a niche community. The school is a leader in the Seattle School district in regards to student leadership and educational community building.
