COVID-19 Update for Prospective Students and Families:

This summer our COVID-19 task force is diligently working with school parents and health officials so that we can bring our Saints Back Safely in the fall. We don't know what August will bring, but we will be responsive to the needs of our students, and ready for whatever comes our way. We have contingency plans for delivering quality education in person, online, or a combination of the two. Learn More

This is an amazing school! Some people don’t like it because it can seem stuck up, poorly organized, disrespectful, or any other of the litany of reasons that people nit pick. In reality, however, this school is a community. Sounds kinda cliche right? I’ve been here all four years, and trust me we’ve had our struggles with the lights, football coach, principle, or changing to the house system, but I wouldn’t trade these past years for anything else. If you are considering going here or sending your son or daughter here: it’s 110% worth it!

Overall, most of the teachers I have had really try hard to make sure each student is given the proper attention needed for each subject, as well as, by making each subject intriguing. Also, I love the wide variety of classes there is to choose from. One of the top things I like about Notre Dame is that it is required to do 30 hours of community service a year, which helps you get involved in your community. Lastly, seniors get the privilege to paint their parking spots which is very fun! One thing I would change about Notre Dame is how strict the dress code is at sport events especially because we live in the desert.
The teachers had different grading methods for the same classes and this allowed some students to 'pad' their GPA well above what it should have been. Also, NDP seemed to focus more on drug/alcohol testing rather than preventative teaching methods for those areas. However, I feel I was better-prepared intellectually than students from other public high schools.
