I have been a student here for 3 years now, and I have had quite the experience with this school. The teachers here are supportive and kind-they really want you to succeed. The students here are like every other school, we have the popular kids and the loners. This school is overall amazing, though it has some underlying flaws. The diversity is not the best, which anyone can see. But in order to add more inclusion into our school, we have the SHADES club, which is a club for people of color, where they can celebrate their differences. Our school has many clubs, from a Journalism club, to a Magic the Gathering club! There is something for everyone at Notre Dame High School, and that it what makes it so truly amazing.
I absolutely loved my time at Notre Dame and look back at my high school memories very fondly. I am now at a top-20 Catholic college and feel that my time at NDHS greatly prepared me for the academic rigor that I now face. I formed lifelong bonds with my peers and felt that every teacher cared greatly about my academic, emotional, and social well-being. I encourage all to partake in school activities because they will greatly enhance your experience at ND. The sports and performing arts programs in particular are second to none. As corny as the motto may be, it truly is a great place to be a teenager, and a great place to grow up. I can't wait to give back!
Great community! The school has wonderful athletics and the musical theatre department is very big here. Academics can sometimes feel limited, but there is also opportunities for challenge and personal growth. There are many opportunities for kids to succeed.
