The education is high quality, especially with the IB Diploma Programme. There are no AP classes but I would argue IB is superior. Most sports teams are very, very good, especially basketball, hockey, soccer, and cross country, with frequent state appearances. They also have strong theater and music opportunities.
A major issue for students of the school is excessive discipline on the part of the administration. Disproportionate punishments for minor rule infractions are common and often distracting from actual education. The administration also has a history of being restrictive towards extracurricular or student initiatives, limiting opportunities for students to pursue their own interests within the context of the school.
The teachers, however, are excellent and arguably the school's greatest strength. Though not all are created equal, the teachers have consistently been a highlight, creatively engaging and supporting students at all stages of their academic development.

I have to say, going to Notre dame Academy, has changed me. I can see the difference of how I used to be, and how I am now. But it's changed me for the better. It's a private catholic school, where not only have I grown over these past 4 years physically, im really tall, but spiritually too. If I had to change anything from this school, would just be the spirits of my fellow classmates to actually want to grow and continue in life after high school!
Notre Dame is a very nice school, because it’s such a great community and it really gets you involved in a lot of activities. For example, clubs, music, etc. Teachers do really care about their students and they try and really want them to succeed and they help them whenever they need help! One thing that I hoped it will change, would be the food. The food is good but it can be better.
