I'm currently attending and honestly, it's a great school. Not entirely diverse, but there is a lot of diversity. The education is good, helps students who need help and accommodates students that are ahead of their grade level. There are plenty of clubs, multiple instrumental, choral, sports, creative, etc. Guidance and nurse are both amazing, they are willing to work with each student to help them get through the day well. The new staff this year are absolutely amazing- a huge step-up from last year. They genuinely care. The freedom that students get: eating outside for lunch, free periods, no uniform, is a perfect level, not too much, but enough to be comfortable. Also, the way they've handled COVID-19 is incredible. Webcams, headsets, in classrooms, optional online learning, masks, 6 feet apart signs, hand sanitizer, etc, they've done everything we could ask for. Not any bullying or bad drama from what I've experienced so far.
Cons
1. Overwhelming amount of homework. 2. THEY LIE TO YOU! I was giving a tour of the school and the guidance councilor listed colleges that nda students simply do not get into. He makes sure to only list "good" colleges (johns hopkins, no students ever accepted. Holy cross, 2-3 students (top top top of their class) Northeastern, roughly 1 student gets in. 3. Always ask you for money.4. SO UNORGANIZED. 5. Not many clubs and activities to choose from.
6. Teachers are very unempathetic. A teacher may let you leave class once a week (keep in mind 90 min classes.) to use bathroom/nurse/bubbler.
7. PART TIME TEACHERS! This one gets me very upset, student needs to communicate with her teacher who may only be present in the school 2 or 3 days a week for a certain amount of hours. Also keep in mind that the nurse is part time.
10. No diversity.
PROS
1. off campus privallages. 2 free periods. 3 love in action requirement.

I only attended NDA for 2 of my 4 years of high school, and it was the best choice I could’ve made. The small class size makes it so easy to mold classrooms to the specific learning types of students. The small and friendly environment additionally makes it very comfortable to participate in discussions, ask questions, and be yourself. The school is also an all girls school. This makes the environment feel safe because everyone is so kind to each other and always supportive. The girls are relatable and always ready to help their classmates any way they can. Finally, the school is also a catholic school, and as a catholic, I enjoyed this very much and was able to explore my faith more, through lessons, masses, and community service. I wish some of the teachers and administrators could be more conscious of their students mental health and personal problems, but that is a problem that seems to be in the process of being changed.
